Can you help?
Keeping the church running well relies on the whole church family. A lot of the hard work is done by people giving their time as part of their Christian discipleship.
Volunteering helps you to feel part of the church and helps you to get to know others better, as well as being of valuable service. How could you get involved? There are many ways………
Flowers
We have a rota of volunteers who arrange the flowers in church each week. The flowers are funded by
sponsors who select a date. We can never have too many helpers. Some of us lacked flower arranging skills when we started but picked them up as we went along. We join together to decorate the church for Christmas, Harvest, and Easter so it is a nice way to make friends and feel part of the church community. For more details please contact
Jane Wilson 0151 353 8710
Margaret Gamble 0151 336 7540
Bible readers and prayer leaders
Some members of the congregation read the lessons in church and some lead some of the prayers.
To join one (or both) of these teams simply volunteer to be on the appropriate rota. Training is available.
For more information please speak to the vicar or one of the churchwardens.
Sunday services Welcome team
One of the most important roles in the church is being a member of our welcome team. The sidespeople are there to greet people as they come into the church and make them feel at ease. They help with the smooth running of the services; their role also includes setting out the communion table and taking up the collection. If you think you could help and would like more information please speak to one of the churchwardens: Pam Machin 0151 xxx xxxx or Patsy Baker 0151 336 3273

Choir
The choir leads the singing at the 10.30am and 6.30pm services. They also sing for special occasions such as weddings and the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at Christmas. New members are always welcome. The ability to read music is useful but not essential.
Please contact the organist, Iain Stinson for more information. 0151 342 4800
Fabric Team and Churchyard Groundforce
The Fabric Team members look after the buildings and the grounds. Do you have practical skills and knowledge which would be an asset to them?
Keeping the churchyard and the graveyard neat and tidy is a demanding job. Periodically it is necessary to have a working party to tackle areas that are not being covered by routine maintenance. For more information please contact the Chairman of the Fabric Team.

The Parish Magazine
The Parish magazine is produced once a month and needs interesting articles and pictures. We also need volunteers to deliver the magazine. Is this something that you could help with? Please contact….
The Churchwardens and the PCC
The Churchwardens and the PCC look after the running of the church. Members serve for a fixed term and periodically we have vacancies. For more information please speak to the Vicar.
Helping with the Children’s Work
Volunteers help with Comets and Sparklers, the children’s groups which run during the 10.30am service on a Sunday morning.
They also help to run
Cots2Tots on a Monday morning in school term time.
If you think you could teach children about Jesus, enjoy working with young people and are interested in being on one of the rotas please contact our Families’ Worker, Anna Leadbetter 07527169694 or Angela Howard 0151 336 3429
Older Children and Teenagers
We will need some volunteers to cook a meal, and others to help with the Bible Study at iMPACT. For more information please contact our Families’ Worker, Anna Leadbetter,07527169694 anna@allsaintsth.org.uk
Please note that all our volunteers who work with young people are checked as required by law.
Serving Coffee and Tea
Every week after the 10.30am and 6.30pm services all members of the congregation are
invited to tea and coffee in the Parish Hall. Volunteers are needed to set up, serve and clear away. Could you be on the rota (about 3 or 4 times a year)? Please contact Barbara Wilson 0151 336 3296
Social Events and Fundraising
We are always keen to talk to volunteers who could help with fundraising or social events. For more information please speak to the vicar or the churchwardens.
Mrs Hunnibuns Cake and Coffee Shop
One of the highlights of church life is Mrs Hunnibuns, which is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10.30am.
Volunteers produce delicious home made cakes and scones to eat in or take home, all for a reasonable price (and there are often some left for Sunday too!) It is a happy place to spend an hour and valuable funds are raised for the church. Everybody is welcome. If you can help or would like more information please contact Eileen Roberts 0151 336 3465 or Heather Timms 0151 353 0494
Offers of homemade cakes are always appreciated.
